Let Your Soul Drive the Bus

Just hop on the bus Gus! There I was, struggling to drive a Port Authority bus on a warm summer’s day. I was having so many issues trying to steer and navigate this big honkin vehicle. I was confused because I didn't know the route but that wasn’t stopping me from driving a bus full of passengers.

I kept looking for directional signs along the road and they would pop up just as I needed them. I would run obstacles, such as a brick road angled 90 degrees up from the road ahead. Every time I found myself blocked, either a passenger or a friendly bystander would help guide me on my way. As I looked in my rear view mirror, I noticed everyone was laughing and singing. They didn’t seem to have a care in the world. Instead of getting irritated, they just helped me every time I was in another jam.

This was the first time I woke up from a dream laughing and totally getting that this was one big “honkin” metaphor. Several months before this dream, I felt pulled to clear my calendar and I thought I was in complete trust of what would flow from that decision but apparently, my subconscious mind was a tad concerned.

Releasing and letting go has certainly been a process for me but I think it’s the only way to make room for what your soul or divine essence wants to bring forth, which may be better, bigger or more ideal than what your limited brain can come up alone. It is difficult to let go without knowing but that is truly when the biggest shifts and breakthroughs occur.

If I hadn’t let go of that calendar, I wouldn’t have been invited to collaborate with the CoCreative Field and that my friends, has been the biggest thing from a vocation or life purpose perspective that’s ever happened to me. I guess I had to “walk the talk” first :)

Love,

Kim
